The morning temperatures have dropped already, and this can mean only one thing.

Club criterium championships for your age group are only 4 races away!

We had 38 riders at the opening road race at Lookout Hill on Sun 4 February and that was encouraging.

Thanks to our Race Committee, we have published our 17 events for the rest of the calendar year. This requires a lot of background work and coordination and we call about on our membership to volunteer for positions (Race Directors, marshals, van drivers, traffic controllers) to help run these events. In previous seasons, we’ve had to rustle up a roster looking at those who seldom come forward, to make it equitable for other members. Please help by contributing to the club positively. Next up in our calendar is the hot dog Dairy Flt course, a course that had been meticulously pruned and swept by artisanal course-setters. This year’s El Nino rain has meant that there is a lot of overgrown bushes which will require more effort to keep it in check so please lend a hand if you can to tidy it up the course before racing on it. [Please note the details above for a clean up at Dairy Flat Road this Saturday]

The Committee is still looking for a Membership officer to induct new members, and a database/software coder who might be able to learn the dark art of RMS system management and backend operations.

Please be mindful that as the race registration deadline approaches, that things don’t automatically just happen, and there are often a series of manual steps that occur before one’s race entry is included. Our response time is delayed during the working day. Here are your contacts about various common issues:
