Eligibility

Membership is open to women and men 30 years of age and over. Joining is also permitted at anytime in the calendar year of a person’s 30th birthday.

Getting started with racing as a trial member

CRMCC provides potential members with the opportunity to have one go at racing using a trial racing licence. You can use this trial licence to participate in one race in any calendar year, prior to committing to joining the club. Before racing you must complete a Trial Membership Form at least two days before your intended race. After submitting the form, allow time for manual processing, and a trial visitor’s race number will then be assigned and emailed to you, after which you will be able to register online and pay the $10 race entry fee. Your bike must be roadworthy and you must wear a helmet that complies with AS 2063 at all races.

2025 calendar year racing membership is open

Membership is valid for a full calendar year and must be paid prior to participating in any race. Members are encouraged to renew their membership by 31 December if they plan to race in the following year, as this offers the best value for the price.  Although membership can be renewed at any time there is no pro rata price i.e. if you join on 1 July instead of 31 December, one does not get a 50% discount. The current annual membership fee of $125 covers affiliation to the Australian Veteran Cycling Council (AVCC), insurance and a $10 club component, and a $3.34 payment processing fee.

Club membership obligations

Club members are bound by the Australian Veteran Cycling Council Inc Racing Rules and General Regulations (adopted 14 Sept 2019). These regulations provide for fair, respectful and safe competition across the disciplines of criterium, road, time trial and track racing.

Club members are expected to contribute to the running of the club and its events.  Members who fail to help will be deemed ineligible to race until such time as they have met their obligations as specified in the Race Officiation Obligations. Commencing 1 January 2025, all club members will be expected to volunteer for 1 event per calendar year, or contribute towards a club activity in other ways as agreed with the committee. Volunteer membership activity will be actively monitored and managed by the committee to ensure equitable and fair contribution from all members towards running events for the membership.

New and renewing members for 2025

If you renewed you membership with CRMCC in 2024, you created a Hello Club ID. If you did not renew your membership in 2024, but now wish to rejoin the club, you will need to create a new HelloClub ID as the membership system moved to Hello Club from SportsTG, and your previous account credentials created prior to 2024 will NOT work with this system. Your new profile will then be merged with your account details in our RMS, so please ensure that you first and last name match exactly e.g. Tony ≠ Anthony, Rob ≠ Robert.

Steps for renewing your annual membership

  1. Use the ‘Join now’ button below – this will take you to the Hello Club membership system
  2. At the welcome page click CONTINUE – only use the ‘sign in’ option if you have a pre-existing HelloClub ID. If you have forgotten your password, please follow the password reset process.
  3. If you do not have a HelloClub ID (i.e. you did not join the club financially in 2024), follow the steps to create a new account, you will be asked:
    • To the agree to the terms and conditions
    • Sign up with your email addres, or Google or Facebook accounts.
    • Enter your contact details and emergency contact details
  4. You will then be prompted to pay the membership fee via credit card. PayPal is not accepted.
  5. If successful, you will receive an email from ‘Australian Veteran Cycling Council ’ to inform you that your registration has been completed.
  6. Allow a few days for our membership office (which is not staffed 24/7) to manually process and activate your membership record
  7. If you are a completely new member, you will then receive from membership@crmcc.org.au an assigned race number, and instructions as to how to register for a race from our race calendar.
  8. If you are a renewing member, you can verify that you status has been financially activated from 1 Jan 2025 by looking up your status here, searching via your race number or your name. Please allow a couple of days for manual processing by the Membership Office, which is not staffed 24/7 https://rms.crmcc.org.au/index

Affiliation with other clubs

The CRMCC is affiliated with the Australian Veteran Cycling Council (AVCC).  This enables members to participate in any AVCC sanctioned event run by an affiliated club. AVCC licences do not give members access to events run by clubs affiliated with AusCycling.
