Next Road Race – Dairy Flat Road – criterium grade from 08.00 AM
ROAD RACE AT DAIRY FLAT ROAD, FYSHWICK – SUNDAY, 18 FEBRUARY 09.00 AM
Our next road race will be a criterium individual points road race on Sunday 18th February at Dairy Flat Road.
We require two marshals for the event to go ahead.
Format: (criterium grades – individual points)
0800 A/B 50 mins plus 1 lap
0900 C/D 40 mins plus 1 lap
0950 E/F/G 30 mins plus 1 lap
There will be a sprint every second lap where points will be 3, 2 and 1. Points for the final sprint – 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1.
So those members who enjoy a longer spin on a Sunday – take an extended ride to Dairy Flat Road, have an intense block via the race, then add a bit more endurance to round your ride ;).
You need to register by looking up the calendar entry in the RMS https://rms.crmcc.org.au/calendar
You must wear your CRMCC assigned race number to race. Late registrations will be assessed by race.committee@actvets.cc and if allowed, a late fee of $10 will be applied.
If you are unregistered and show up to the road race, you must convince a committee member (not the Race Director) of your club member financial status for insurance purposes, before allowed to participate.
Working Bee–PARTICIPATION WILL COUNT AS MARSHALLING
An amount of ‘landscaping and tidying’ is required to race on the Dairy Flat course on Dairy Road this Sunday. This time around, some sweeping and much tree trimming is required. Those who help out will receive 10 competition points and it will count as marshalling. Please bring tree loppers or secateurs, leaf blowers, bow saws and stiff brooms. The 1400 start is to ensure members have recovered from their morning rides, but have time to prepare for the Latin Carnivale starting at the Multicultural Festival at 1830.
Time: 1400
Date: 17 February 2024
Place: Gate at the end of Dairy Road, next to Jerrabomberra Wetlands car park.
Bring: Hat, sunscreen, water and garden tools if you have them.
Duration: Between one and two hours depending on number of volunteers (shorter than any race marshalling)
