Good evening everyone,
Tonight we made history for our cycling club.
There were a total of 36 members that cast a vote for a change of club name. The Poll resulted with an overwhelming result of 97% in favour to the motion. The committee will now work to ensure a smooth transition to our new name ‘Capital Region Masters Cycling Club‘.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the committee members for putting this motion to the club and in general for their tireless work on all our behalves to ensure we have a club that (COVID lockdowns allowing) completes many races during the year.
This is an historic moment in our club’s history and does not diminish the Vets name or its legacy as one of the key racing clubs of the Canberra Region.
I am about to advise the AVCC National Body of this change, thanks again to everyone that made the time to join in or vote tonight.
