Fence for Stromlo Criterium Track – update
ABC television came to film during the crit race at Stromlo on Saturday. They are doing a story about cyclists and kangaroos, which may give some impetus to getting a fence installed around the track. I’ll post on Facebook once they let me know when it is planned to go to air.
Kim Malcolm (d.kimmalcolm@icloud.com) has taken the lead on this issue. Please support him in this endeavour by, if possible, lobbying other riders, the media and government representatives.

Seeking 26 inch wheeled bike for tall rider with disability
I am looking for a bike with 26″ wheels…tourer, mountain bike, hybrid….anything with a big enough frame for someone 175cm tall. The man concerned was a keen cyclist, but now needs some giant training wheels due to a nasty degenerative condition effecting his balance and motor control. 26″ is as big as there wheels come. We tried to buy new but 26″ wheels with large frames are being phased out, thus are seeking second hand. Horizontal drop outs and low top bar would be an added bonus.
Please email Rosemary at projects@tadact.org.au or phone 0417898917 if you can help.

Indoor Training
Get a head start on the upcoming Tuesday evening crits by coming to the Indoor Trainer sessions at Weston on Tuesday nights. Sessions start at 6:30 and run for about an hour. The program is set by Michael Aisbitt who provides excellent motivation and coaching tips for track, crit and road racing.
Training is in the hall at the Weston Community Centre. Enter from Hilder St Weston and veer to the right to find the lower car park. The hall is adjacent and opens at 6:00pm. The session is $10 and you must be a club member.
The final training session is on Tuesday 25th September.
